Cancan (can-can) takes us into the 19th century Paris, where it was considered to be the „scandal dance“. Skirts full of frills raised all the way to the head were shocking for the society of that time. Despite of that, the cabarets (honky-tonks) where can-can was at home, were widely sought-after. Perhaps because of its slightly sensual yet energizing atmosphere, which is characteristic for this dance, it has become the most popular performance of the century.
